The counter below the input shows the number of lines and characters currently in your original list. It updates automatically as you type or paste data and does not change the list itself.

Removes whitespace from the beginning and end of every line. Normal spaces between words are left in place. For example, Apple becomes Apple.

Removes blank and whitespace-only lines. This is useful after copying a list from a spreadsheet, document, or web page.

Removes repeated lines while preserving the first occurrence. Duplicate matching happens after the preceding selected text transformations, and removing duplicates does not sort the remaining list.

Collapses repeated spaces, tabs, and other inline whitespace within each item. For example, Apple Juice becomes Apple Juice.

Original order leaves surviving items where they were. A → Z sorts alphabetically ascending, Z → A sorts descending, Shortest first puts shorter lines first, and Longest first puts longer lines first. Sorting changes order only; it does not remove data.

No change preserves capitalization. lowercase changes text to lowercase, UPPERCASE changes it to uppercase, and Title Case capitalizes the beginning of words. The setting applies to cleaned list items.

Enter the exact text to search for in each list item. Matching is literal and case-sensitive, and it works together with Replace with. Leave it empty to make no replacement.

Specifies the text used for every match found with Find. For example, finding _ and replacing with - changes my_page_name to my-page-name. Leave this field empty to remove matching text.

Adds the entered value to the beginning of every remaining list item. A prefix of https:// turns example.com into https://example.com.

Adds the entered value to the end of every remaining item. A suffix of / turns example.com into example.com/. Prefix and suffix can be used together.

Runs the selected operations against the current original input, then updates the result and statistics. Cleaning is not automatic while you type; processing happens locally when you click the button.

Shows how many lines remain after all selected cleanup options have been applied.

Shows how many repeated lines were removed when Remove duplicate lines was enabled.

Shows how many blank or whitespace-only lines were removed when Remove empty lines was enabled.

Counts removed lines and lines changed by text transformations. Sorting by itself is not counted as a content change, so this is a useful summary rather than a perfect character-by-character diff.

This read-only field contains the final processed list. Running Clean list again replaces it with a new result based on the current original input and options.

Copies the complete cleaned list—not the original input—to your clipboard. It becomes available after a usable result has been generated.

Generates and downloads the complete cleaned result as cleaned-list.txt. The file is created locally in your browser and is not uploaded.

Clears the input and output, resets statistics, clears Find/Replace and Prefix/Suffix, restores the original sort and case settings, and returns the cleanup checkboxes to their defaults. It affects only this List Cleaner instance.
