Snassi List cleaner

Clean lists directly in you browser

What can you use the List Cleaner for?

A list cleaner is designed for simple, one-item-per-line data. It can help you work with names, email addresses, URLs, domains, product codes, keywords, categories, tags, or copied text. If the information can be separated into individual lines, the tool can usually make the list easier to review and reuse.

Typical tasks include removing duplicate lines, deleting unnecessary spaces, cleaning unstructured text, and sorting entries into a more useful order. You can also use it before importing data into another application, sending a list to a colleague, or analyzing a set of keywords or URLs.

How to use SnassiDevs List Cleaner

1. Prepare the list you want to clean

Start by locating the text you want to organize. This could be a list copied from a webpage, a column from a spreadsheet, a group of URLs from an SEO report, or lines from a text file. For the cleanest result, place one item on each line. If your source contains several columns, copy only the column or field you want to process.

2. Paste your text into the input field

Open the SnassiDevs List Cleaner and paste your text into the input area. The tool is useful when you need to remove duplicates online because you can work directly with copied text instead of creating a new spreadsheet or installing a separate program.

3. Remove duplicates from the list

Choose the duplicate-removal option to create a list containing only unique entries. This is the main reason people search for terms such as “remove duplicates from list online,” “remove duplicates from a list online,” and “remove duplicates online.” Instead of comparing every line manually, the tool identifies repeated values and removes the extra copies.

4. Clean spaces and formatting

Copied information often contains spaces before or after an entry. These spaces may be difficult to see, but they can affect comparisons and make duplicate detection less reliable. Use the available cleaning options to trim unnecessary spaces and normalize the formatting of your text.

5. Remove blank lines and unstructured text

If your input contains empty lines, the final result may be difficult to scan. Blank lines can also create problems when you import the list into software that expects one value per row. Remove unnecessary empty lines so that each line contains a meaningful entry.

The List Cleaner can also help turn unstructured copied content into a simpler list. Before accepting the result, check that the text you want to keep has not been mixed with navigation labels, headings, or other content from the original source.

6. Sort the cleaned list when useful

Sorting can make a long list easier to inspect. Alphabetical order is useful for names, domains, keywords, product codes, and categories when the original order is not important. If the list follows a specific priority or sequence, review it before sorting and keep the existing order when necessary.

For example, a keyword list may be easier to group after it has been cleaned, while a list of tasks may need to remain in its original priority order. Cleaning and sorting are separate decisions, so choose the option that matches your next step.

7. Review and copy the result

Always review the cleaned output before using it. Look for entries that should remain separate, values that were copied incorrectly, or formatting differences that require a manual decision. Once the result looks correct, copy it and paste it into your spreadsheet, document, CMS, database, or analysis tool.

Example: clean a keyword or URL list

Imagine that you have collected a list of website keywords from three different sources. Several phrases appear more than once, some lines contain extra spaces, and blank lines separate groups of results. Paste the complete text into the List Cleaner, remove duplicates, trim the unwanted spaces, and remove empty lines. You can then sort the final list if alphabetical order makes it easier to review.

The same process works for URLs. If you are looking for a way to remove duplicates online before a website audit, paste the URLs into the tool and create a unique list first. If you have a CSV file, copy the relevant column and use the cleaned output as a new column or a prepared list. This is useful for searches such as “csv remove duplicates online” when you only need to clean one text field.

Why use an online list cleaner?

An online list cleaner is convenient because it focuses on one practical task. You do not need to write code, build formulas, or manually compare every line. It is also useful when you are working between different applications and need to clean a block of text quickly.

Because the List Cleaner runs in your browser, it is suitable for quick text-processing tasks without adding another desktop application to your workflow. For sensitive information, you should always follow your own data-handling policies and avoid pasting information into any tool unless you are permitted to process it.

Remove duplicate lines online with fewer manual steps

Whether you are cleaning keywords, URLs, names, product codes, or copied text, the process is straightforward: paste the list, remove duplicates, clean the formatting, remove blank lines, sort when appropriate, and review the result. The next time you need to deduplicate list online or remove duplicate lines online, try the SnassiDevs List Cleaner to turn messy input into a cleaner, more consistent list.

List Cleaner functions explained

Learn what each option in the List Cleaner does and how it changes your list.

List data

Paste the list you want to clean here. Each line is treated as a separate list item. You can edit or replace the original data at any time; it is only processed when you select Clean list. The pasted data stays in your browser and is not uploaded to SnassiDevs.

Lines and characters

The counter below the input shows the number of lines and characters currently in your original list. It updates automatically as you type or paste data and does not change the list itself.

Trim whitespace

Removes whitespace from the beginning and end of every line. Normal spaces between words are left in place. For example, Apple becomes Apple.

Remove empty lines

Removes blank and whitespace-only lines. This is useful after copying a list from a spreadsheet, document, or web page.

Remove duplicate lines

Removes repeated lines while preserving the first occurrence. Duplicate matching happens after the preceding selected text transformations, and removing duplicates does not sort the remaining list.

Apple
Banana
Apple
becomes Apple
Banana
.

Remove extra spaces

Collapses repeated spaces, tabs, and other inline whitespace within each item. For example, Apple Juice becomes Apple Juice.

Sort

Original order leaves surviving items where they were. A → Z sorts alphabetically ascending, Z → A sorts descending, Shortest first puts shorter lines first, and Longest first puts longer lines first. Sorting changes order only; it does not remove data.

Text case

No change preserves capitalization. lowercase changes text to lowercase, UPPERCASE changes it to uppercase, and Title Case capitalizes the beginning of words. The setting applies to cleaned list items.

Find

Enter the exact text to search for in each list item. Matching is literal and case-sensitive, and it works together with Replace with. Leave it empty to make no replacement.

Replace with

Specifies the text used for every match found with Find. For example, finding _ and replacing with - changes my_page_name to my-page-name. Leave this field empty to remove matching text.

Prefix

Adds the entered value to the beginning of every remaining list item. A prefix of https:// turns example.com into https://example.com.

Suffix

Adds the entered value to the end of every remaining item. A suffix of / turns example.com into example.com/. Prefix and suffix can be used together.

Clean list

Runs the selected operations against the current original input, then updates the result and statistics. Cleaning is not automatic while you type; processing happens locally when you click the button.

Output lines

Shows how many lines remain after all selected cleanup options have been applied.

Duplicates removed

Shows how many repeated lines were removed when Remove duplicate lines was enabled.

Empty lines removed

Shows how many blank or whitespace-only lines were removed when Remove empty lines was enabled.

Total changes

Counts removed lines and lines changed by text transformations. Sorting by itself is not counted as a content change, so this is a useful summary rather than a perfect character-by-character diff.

Cleaned output

This read-only field contains the final processed list. Running Clean list again replaces it with a new result based on the current original input and options.

Copy result

Copies the complete cleaned list—not the original input—to your clipboard. It becomes available after a usable result has been generated.

Download .txt

Generates and downloads the complete cleaned result as cleaned-list.txt. The file is created locally in your browser and is not uploaded.

Reset

Clears the input and output, resets statistics, clears Find/Replace and Prefix/Suffix, restores the original sort and case settings, and returns the cleanup checkboxes to their defaults. It affects only this List Cleaner instance.

Does my list leave my browser?

No. List processing takes place locally in your browser. The pasted list and cleaned output are not uploaded to SnassiDevs as part of the cleaning process.
